October 6, 2014

Pre-engineered options offer customization and quick delivery

HOUSTON (October 6, 2014) Exterran recently launched its C-Series line of configurable compression packages – pre-engineered with a wide range of configuration options, allowing for flexibility, fast delivery and high performance. The first model in the line, the C-Series 35161, offers more than 60 options and is available for delivery in 10-14 weeks. In some cases, a ready inventory of pre-configured units in stock may be available for immediate delivery.

The pre-configured options and an online C-Series configurator allow customers the flexibility to build their own compression packages in just a few easy steps. With this configurator, customers can choose from the more than 1,000 possible configurations to meet their operational needs, see the result and submit a request to receive a customized quote for their chosen configuration.

"The C-Series 3516 allows customers to bring operations online quickly, realizing production revenue faster, which in today's market is a definite competitive advantage," said William Sayre, vice president, product lines and marketing at Exterran. "We have pre-engineered a gas compression package that offers more than 60 options, providing configuration flexibility in a high-performing, reliable product that is backed by Exterran's more than 50 years of design, manufacturing, operation and maintenance experience."

Built on a heavy-duty, 12-foot-wide skid suitable for mounting on a compacted gravel pad or concrete foundation, the C-Series 3516 is available up to 1,380 horsepower and outfitted with a Cat 3516B lean burn engine and an Ariel JGT4 compressor. Available in seven base models in one-, two- and three-stage configurations, other benefits of the C-Series 3516 include:

  • Typically delivered in 10-14 weeks without compromising quality, performance or configurability, so customers can get their gas and revenue streams moving
  • Ready inventory of preconfigured units may be available for immediate delivery
  • Production drawings are available within 2-3 business days of project award to expedite customer planning and lower contract, budget and schedule risks
  • Simple assembly and commissioning allows customers to bring their operation online quickly
  • Exterran can install, commission and service customer units to facilitate and speed startup and unburden maintenance operations

The C-Series 3516 can be used in a wide array of natural gas applications generally above
